This is a wonderful, floral & fresh smell. With a light & clean smell. I haven’t had any problem with the scent lasting, though I don’t want to be overshadowed by any scent. I do one spray over my hair/shoulders, 1 spray on the front of my sweater/blouse & dab what’s left on the sprayer on my pressure points – neck & wrists. Plenty going on there w/o being offensive to others & it makes me feel very special. Sure beats all that “musky” stuff – YUCK!

I just returned Very Hollywood, if that’s any indication…

The problem wasn’t the scent, the scent is rather lovely. The problem is the staying power, technically, the lack thereof, which was a total disappointment. I expected so much more from Michael Kors, peculiarly because his namesake fragrance is my favored and has utterly no issues with the fragrance lasting assorted hours. The basi day I spritzed my intermediate amount for eau de parfums and was astonished when I could no longer smell any hint of the fragrance after just one hour–and this is with my nose mere inches from my wrists. The second day I finelooking much doused myself as if it were a body spray and it STILL DID NOT LAST. Another annoying thing with regards to this perfume is the shape of the bottle. It’s on the wide side and was difficult to spray, which I was more than willing to get over but not in addition to the weakness of the scent.

A list scent, D list staying power

I confess it: I was initially drawn to this product solely because of the name and the astounding packaging. As a celebrity gossip columnist, I just could not protest a fragrance named “Very Hollywood!” The scent itself is dissimilar than what I commonly go for. It’s citrusy, but the mandarin isn’t overwhelming, and the gardenia undertones are very fresh and feminine. However, the one major problem with this perfume is it is staying power, or lack thereof. Even after squirting myself with this stuff a whopping eight times, the scent closely exclusively disappears an hour later, which is ridiculous. Michael Kors is a top brand, and I expected a lot more for my money. It’s a major bummer because the fragrance itself is so lovely, but I cannot in good sense of right and wrong repurchase.
