3Christian Dior’s own nice little overview of the elements of New Look fashion
By Joseph A. Admire
This book isn’t genuinely very substantial; it’s basically an alphabetic collection of the outstanding couturier Christian Dior’s remarks on respective parts of fashion and style. On these terms, however, and for the reader who isn’t approaching the book expecting anything world-shaking, it’s a very nice little item and a good snapshot of “New Look” fashion ideas. Lots of outstanding B&W photos and drawings, too! (I think it genuinely deserves 3 1/2 stars but Amazon’s star scheme doesn’t concede that kind of fine-tuning, more’s the pity.)

2Not a lot of coverage
By Caloucon
This is a nice little book – not elaborated or descriptive sufficient for someone in truth mesmerized in fashion. I did take pleasure in the photographs. If you are looking for more exhaustive comprehensible statement of fashion terms and guidelines, I suggest A Guide to Elegance: For Every Woman Who Wants to Be Well and Properly Dressed on All Occasions. It is coordinated alphabetically, just like Mr. Dior’s book, but has more elaborated written descriptions of the items.

5Simple rules that never go out of style!
By Frine Hernandez
Very interesting!
It is just what fashion employed to be in the 50′s.
Good book to learn what used to be fashion in the old times.
The best of it is that it teaches a lot of the rules that will never go out of style, because it teaches how to be elegant.
I likewise liked the way he approaches how to use colors and their meaning.
A++++++++++++++ book.
